Antique Brass · White Glass Globe · Mid-Century Semi-Flush
A semi-flush mount ceiling light in the language of 1950s–60s American mid-century modern lighting — a stacked brass column rises from the canopy through a small sphere, a larger sphere, and a wide brass saucer disc, with a white opal-glass globe suspended just below. The composition is sculptural rather than architectural: each element a distinct geometric form, the whole reading as a small bronze totem hung tight to the ceiling.
The brass body is hand-finished in warm antique tone — bright on the polished surfaces, deeper at the recesses where light catches. The opal-glass globe diffuses light evenly without glare, casting a soft ambient pool downward. Suited to entry foyers, hallways, primary bedrooms, dressing rooms, and living rooms — particularly low-ceiling spaces (8 ft and under) where a hanging chandelier would feel intrusive.
Features
Stacked Brass Form
Sculptural column of stacked brass spheres and saucer disc — distinct mid-century geometry.
Opal Glass Globe
White opal glass diffuses light evenly without glare — soft ambient pool downward.
Semi-Flush Profile
Compact 26.5 cm (10.4″) total drop fits 8 ft+ ceilings comfortably — no chandelier-height issues.
Hand-finished antique brass. The brass body is hand-finished — subtle variation in tone, polish depth, and patina between pieces is part of the artisanal character, not a flaw. The opal-glass globe is hand-blown, so minor wall-thickness variation is expected and does not affect the diffused light quality.

FAQ
What size room does the Sasco suit? +
At ∅ 10″ × H 10.4″, it's well-scaled for hallways and corridors of 6–10 m², primary bedrooms and entry foyers of 10–18 m², and dressing rooms or smaller living areas. The compact diameter and semi-flush profile make it ideal for layered lighting schemes — pair with table lamps or wall sconces rather than relying on it as the sole ambient source for larger rooms.
Will it work in a low-ceiling room? +
Yes — the Sasco is essentially a semi-flush mount. Total drop from ceiling to globe base is 26.5 cm (10.4″), shorter than a traditional pendant or chandelier. It works comfortably in 8 ft ceilings (240 cm) and is well-suited to hallways, smaller bedrooms, and rooms where a longer drop would feel intrusive.
Is the Sasco dimmable? +
Yes, with the right bulb. The fixture takes a single G9 socket bulb. Install a dimmable G9 LED on a TRIAC wall dimmer and the light dims smoothly. Warm white 2700K–3000K is recommended to flatter both the antique brass and the opal-glass diffusion.
What kind of light does it cast? +
The opal-glass globe diffuses the bulb evenly, casting a soft ambient pool downward — gentle, residential, no harsh glare. The brass saucer above the globe also catches and reflects warm light, adding a subtle uplight halo on the ceiling. Good for mood and ambient illumination; pair with task lighting if you need direct workspace light.
What bulb does it take? +
One G9 socket bulb (small bi-pin base, common in modern fixtures). We recommend a warm-white 2700K–3000K LED at 40W incandescent equivalent. Avoid daylight (5000K+) — it cools the antique brass tone and clashes with the warm mid-century palette.
Is the brass real? +
Yes — the body is solid brass, hand-finished in antique tone. It's not plated steel or composite. Real brass develops subtle natural patina over years of use, which is part of its mid-century character. Clean only with a soft dry cloth; avoid commercial brass polish, which removes the antique finish.
