Kuri wraps warm light inside a rounded, chestnut-inspired shade made from washi paper layered with fine bamboo-silk fibres. The shape feels sculptural without feeling oversized — especially natural above breakfast tables, small dining areas, bedrooms and reading corners.

Two Natural Fibre Textures, One Shade.

Washi provides the soft translucent base; bamboo-silk fibres add a finer visible grain across the finished surface.

Washi Paper Fibrous and translucent, helping soften the bulb into a more even ambient glow.
Bamboo Silk Adds subtle vertical texture without introducing pattern or strong color.

Product Detail The texture stays visible even when the light is off.

Kuri is intentionally not a perfectly smooth white shade. Fine fibres and small handmade variations give the surface more depth up close while keeping the overall silhouette calm from across the room.

Optional Dimming Dimmable Bulb + Triac Wall Dimmer

For brightness control, replace the included bulb with a compatible dimmable E26/E27 LED and use a compatible Triac wall dimmer.

Keep the natural fibres dry.

Dust gently with a soft dry microfiber duster or a low-suction fabric-brush attachment. Do not use water, cleaning sprays or damp cloths on the washi paper or bamboo-silk surface. Avoid bathrooms and other consistently humid locations.

Before You Choose.

Ø17.7" or Ø23.6"?

Choose Ø17.7" for breakfast nooks, bedrooms, reading corners and smaller 4-seat dining areas. Choose Ø23.6" when the pendant needs more presence above a 4–6-seat dining table, medium kitchen island or entry foyer.

What does the bamboo-silk layer add?

The washi paper provides most of the light diffusion. The bamboo-silk fibres add a finer visible grain across the shade, giving the surface additional handmade texture without adding bold color or pattern.

Can Kuri be dimmed?

Yes, with a compatible setup. The included 2700K E26/E27 LED is non-dimmable. Replace it with a compatible dimmable E26/E27 LED and use a compatible Triac wall dimmer.

Can I order a longer cord?

Yes. The standard cord is 59 inches / 150cm and is adjustable during installation. Extended lengths are available on request at no extra charge. Email info@olivaravive.com with your ceiling height and desired finished drop.

Can Kuri be installed in a bathroom?

No. Kuri is rated IP20 and is intended for indoor dry locations only. Washi paper and bamboo-silk fibres should not be exposed to sustained moisture or humidity.

Each piece is handmade, so slight variations in texture and dimensions are normal, and washi paper ambers gently over time. Screen colors are approximate; hand-measured sizes may vary 1–2cm.
