An Uneven Curve That Looks Different from Every Angle

VB-13T uses Washi paper over a shaped internal frame to create an intentionally asymmetric silhouette. When switched off it reads as a sculptural object; when illuminated, the paper softens the bulb into a broad warm glow.

How the Shape Is Made

Washi Paper Shaped Around a Flexible Internal Frame

The lamp's flowing outline does not come from a rigid molded shade. The paper form is supported by a lightweight internal framework, allowing the surface to keep its soft folds and irregular curve.

Slight differences in fold, tension and geometry are normal characteristics of the handmade construction.

Before You Place It

Give the Organic Shape Enough Table Space

The 15-inch body has noticeably more presence than a compact bedside lamp. Avoid surfaces where the paper shade would sit too close to the edge.

Nightstand Best on a wider bedside surface with room around the shade.
Side Table Works well where the lamp can act as both light and sculpture.
Console / Sideboard A natural fit for the 21.6-inch height and wider organic silhouette.

VB-13T is primarily an ambient lamp. Washi spreads light softly rather than producing a concentrated task beam.

Small nightstand?

The body is approximately 15" wide. Check your available tabletop space before ordering.

Expect perfect symmetry?

No. The flowing handmade form can show subtle differences in fold, paper texture and frame geometry.
