At 16.5 inches wide and 23.6 inches tall, the Akari 9A is intentionally more substantial than a conventional bedside lamp. Its large Washi shade creates a broad pool of soft ambient light, balanced by three slim black metal legs.

Is the 9A too large for a normal bedside table?
It depends on the furniture. At 16.5" wide and 23.6" tall, the 9A is larger than a typical bedside lamp. It works best on a substantial nightstand, dresser, side table or console where the shade has enough visual and physical space.
What kind of light does it provide?
The included 3000K bulb shines through the large Washi shade to create soft ambient light. The 9A is intended more for atmosphere and comfortable room lighting than concentrated reading or task illumination.
How should I clean the Washi paper?
Dust gently with a dry feather duster or soft microfiber tool. Do not wet-clean, steam, spray cleaners or use a damp cloth. Keep the shade away from humid areas and direct heat.
