The 22N pairs a tall egg-shaped Washi shade with a substantial metal foundation. At 24.4" high, it has more presence than a compact bedside lamp while keeping the light soft and comfortable.

Thin bamboo ribs form the tall egg silhouette beneath the off-white Washi paper. The visible rib pattern gives the shade structure while the paper softens direct bulb glare into an even warm glow.

The 24.4" height and 16.5" width give the 22N real visual weight. It works best when you want the lamp to be part of the room's composition, not disappear into a small nightstand.

The Washi surface diffuses the bulb around the tall egg form rather than producing a focused beam. A 3000K warm-white bulb is included.
The substantial metal foundation helps the larger shade stay planted on a sturdy surface. A 59" / 150cm cord includes an inline ON/OFF switch.
At approximately 11 lbs with a 16.5" wide shade, this is not a lightweight mini table lamp. Use a firm, level table, console or sideboard and avoid narrow, delicate or unstable furniture.

Is the 22N too large for a bedside table?
It depends on the furniture. At 16.5" wide and 24.4" tall, the 22N is considerably larger than a compact bedside lamp. It works best on a generous nightstand or secondary bedroom surface where it has room around it.
Is the 11 lb weight a problem?
Not on a sturdy household table, sideboard or console. The weight helps stabilize the larger shade. Avoid lightweight folding tables, narrow plant stands or delicate shelving.
Is the 22N suitable for reading?
It is primarily an ambient lamp. Washi paper creates comfortable diffused light rather than a concentrated reading beam. For detailed reading, pair it with a directional task light.
How do I clean the Washi shade?
Dust gently with a dry feather duster or soft microfiber cloth, following the ribbing rather than rubbing hard across it. Do not use water, steam or cleaning sprays.
